The Black Sage smudge has been hand rolled and tied with natural, white cotton string. When burnt, the scent is similar to white sage, however it has a deep sage and smoky fragrance.
Black Sage, which is also known as Mugwort, Witch's Herb or Dream Weed is a powerful herb used by shamans and healers. Thought to encourage dreams and visions, black sage is believed to protect the user whilst astral traveling or shamanic journeying. It can also be used to encourage a restful sleep, pleasant dreams and if burnt before sleep it can provide the sleeper with truthful, vision-like dreams, that are full of symbolic meaning.
